The Sun Country Iris Society was established in 1969 as an affiliate of the American Iris Society AIS). The Society is sponsored through Region 15 of the AIS. This region covers Southern California and Arizona. Regular club meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM., at: The Valley Garden Center 1809 N. 15th Avenue Phoenix, Arizona (two blocks north of McDowell Road) Visitors and guests are always welcome to attend our monthly meetings. Our members are a wonderful resource to learn about irises and have a wealth of knowledge about growing iris in our desert environment. |

FREE RHIZOMES: Our 'Gardening Angels' have collected rhizomes and are excited about helping your school or church beautify your gardens and landscape with free bearded irises. It's our way of sharing and beautifying the Phoenix area. Please contact Ardi Kary at 480-949-0253 if you wish to receive some of these rhizomes.
